Video: The Picturesque Port of Marseillan
Marseillan is a busy port attracting tourists and fishermen alike. This charming village was founded by a wandering fisherman from Marseille in the 6th century AD. It is a town devoted to shellfish and to the manufacture of Noilly Prat, a blend of Languedocian white wines and 40 herbs (whose identity is secret). Marseillan’s center is a mix of shops and an open market. Miles of sandy beaches lie to the north and south on this golden stretch of Languedoc.
